The United States is less than two weeks away from the end of the 2020 presidential election cycle, which means it’s time for the first ever Brain Iron Dot Com Presents Cast Iron Brains Presenting the CIB Election Forecast Game, 2020 Edition, Presented By the Brain Iron Multinational Media Empire, in Association with Brain Iron Dot Com! Sorry, that’s what it’s called. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The CIB EFG 2020 comes in two parts. First, the map! Head on over to 270towin.com and build your prediction for how the 2020 presidential election will shake out, state by state. Here’s how the results will be scored:
1 point will be awarded for correctly predicting each of the following states -- 36 points available:
Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhose Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Wyoming
2 points will be awarded for correctly predicting each of the following states -- 10 points available:
Alaska, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, and Texas
3 points awarded for correctly predicting each of the following states -- 30 points available:
Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine (ME1, ME2, 2 at large), Nebraska (NE1, NE2, 2 at large), North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin
After filling the map in entirely, either email a link to your unique map to us at brainironpodcast@gmail.com, or send a screenshot to the same email address. (You can link to your map by clicking on the “Share Map” button at the bottom right corner of the map, and then copying the provided link that pops up under the map.)
Secondly, the prop bets! Follow this link to fill out the survey, making sure to fill in the last question with your name and/or email address, so that we can match up your survey score with your map score. Don’t forget the tiebreaker, either, so we don’t end up with multiple, ahh, winners. Each question in the survey is worth 5 points, giving us a total maximum score of 126 points across both parts of the contest.
The winner of the first ever Brain Iron Dot Com Presents Cast Iron Brains Presenting the CIB Election Forecast Game, 2020 Edition, Presented By the Brain Iron Multinational Media Empire, in Association with Brain Iron Dot Com will be guaranteed a free piece of the first run of official Cast Iron Brains merchandise, when and if we ever get around to making the first run of official Cast Iron Brains merchandise.
