Tangled Up in [Green]

Your favorite podcast is back with the latest developments on the president’s definitely-not-a-coup, “the most important speech [he’s] ever made,” and the ongoing COVID-19 disaster. But it’s not all just that repetitive and boring news shit! Skip ahead to 34:45 or so for talk of Bob Dylan’s recent decision to sell the rights to his entire music catalog to Universal Music Group for $300 million, the upcoming AirBnB IPO, and a crucial update on Big Blanket Marketing Algorithms. Enjoy!

Here’s the clip of Trump’s 46-minute speech we played on the show—really just the very tip of the humiliation iceberg. Click here for the full 46-minute version, if you feel like indulging the weirdo’s kink further.

The NYT says Bob Dylan sold his entire musical legacy to the Universal Music Group for a reported $300 million. This is a bummer on many levels!

AirBnB, a website and app that connects people who want to go places with people who have places to be gone to, hopes to raise something like $40 billion in their initial public offering this week. For some context, that would give them a market cap to rival the biggest hotel/hospitality company in the world, Marriott International.

Here’s video of the scuzzy fella we were on about from 60 Minutes the other night:

If you want to see the other, far more charming guy we were talking about, you’ll have to watch the whole segment over at CBS.

And finally, some ads for unreasonably large blankets, as sent to, first, friend-of-the-show John’s FB feed:

How bear-y interesting…

How bear-y interesting…

And then the ads from Bob’s feed:

I think that’s all we’ve got for this week! Later.
