Daylight Savings Time sucks ass! Marco Rubio and some other heroic senators are trying to do something about it.

Of course, going from mostly DST to only DST is an improvement, but it’s not a perfect solution. The best answer would be to switch to permanent, year-round standard time. Need convincing? Or maybe you’d just like to find a like-minded community where your DST-hatred can be nurtured and appreciated—check out this website for that.

The Astra-Zeneca COVID-19 vaccine has been suspended in a bunch of European countries, even as India prepares to produce a billion doses of it.

Amanda Gorman, American treasure, is having the poem she wrote and performed for the 2021 inaugural translated into languages for readers all over the world. But some have objected to who has been chosen to translate her work, resulting in at least two people losing the translating gig so far.

An overenthusiastic mother decided that one way to help her daughter’s cheerleading career by committing very stupid crimes involving “deepfake” technology. Here’s a link to the very cool MIT project that showcased what the technology can do, as applied to a Nixon speech that was never actually given—and it’s only gotten better since then.

We talked about the classic metaphysical thought experiment known as the Ship of Theseus. It was referenced in the finale of the popular Disney+ show WandaVision recently, too! Weird.
