Belarus hijacked a commercial airliner in order to arrest a dissident journalist and his girlfriend. Not great! Both of them have now recorded forced confessions. Many outside of Belarus are calling for their release, and fearful that they’ll be tortured and ultimately killed. Here’s a bit on the relationship between Russia and Belarus, and why it’s unlikely this happened without Putin’s go-ahead.
Police in New Delhi raided Twitter’s offices there for allowing content that was critical of the government’s COVID response.
Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, has signed a law that will allow the state to (attempt to) fine social media companies that ban statewide political candidates from their platforms. Can’t wait for Florida to try to sue Twitter for banning some Matt Gaetz-wannabe with a bunch of actual Nazi paraphernalia in his merch store.
